Horse Shoeing Informational Clinic 1 0f 6 - 2 -

Saturday, May 24, 2008

The first in a series of six horse shoeing information clinics was held at my shop in Liberty Hill, Texas this weekend. We had a good turn out and owners told me they had a better understanding of some of the basic information on holding for the farrier, owner / farrier / veterinarian relations, anatomy, and an introduction to the bio-mechanics of derotation of the foundered horse.

Ron Marshall clinic on therapeutic horseshoeing

Hi. Just wanted to provide feedback on Ron's presentation.

I attended the May 24 clinic on therapeutic horseshoeing. This was the introductory session, first in a series of 5 or 6 sessions. The content was simply outstanding. I learned an amazing amount in this one day session. The physical facilities were very nice and comfortable, and the presentation materials were relevant, well paced and well presented. My compliments to Ron and all the others who worked so hard on this clinic. I highly recommend this series to anyone interested in learning more about farrier issues, the effects on the horse and his way of going, and state of the art remedies for various lameness issues. I hope that Ron's dedication to his discipline will spread among farriers, vets and owners - all to the benefit of the horses we ride and respect.
